What is CNC Milling?
CNC milling is a subtractive manufacturing process. It starts by fixturing a block of metal or plastic material inside the CNC mill. Using G-code, the CNC machine is programmed to rapidly mill out parts from the block of raw material.
What is CNC Turning?
CNC turning is a subtractive manufacturing process that rotates a metal rod while a cutting tool is held against the stock to remove material and create final parts.
What are the advantages of CNC machining?
Product designers and engineers choose CNC machining to rapidly produce prototypes and production parts. The manufacturing technology offers a high level of precision, engineering-grade materials, quick-turn lead times.
How much does CNC machining cost?
The cost of CNC machining varies based on complexity, quantity and lead time. The best way to find out the accurate price is to provide a 3D CAD model and technical specs and we will give you quote within 24 hours. Prices of CNC machining compared to 3D printing are comparable to somewhat higher, but machining offers improved material properties and surfaces.
What format of drawings are required for CNC machining parts?
We commonly need the 2D and 3D drawing for a timely and accurate quote. The software that we use are AutoCAD, solid-works, UG, pro-E.
1) File format of 2D drawing: DWG, PDF, JPG (with technical specs, material, quantity, tolerance, surface treatment and special requirements indicated)
2) File format of 3D model: STEP, IGS (intuitive display size and structure of the product intuitively, used for programming)
What kinds of materials are you capable of machining?
Low and medium carbon steels, alloy steels, stainless steels, plastics, copper and copper alloys such as brass and bronze, aluminum. These can be in bar or tube form.
What are your minimum run quantities?
Since we have so many different types of machines, the minimum runs vary by the type of machine we have. We are willing to vary the run quantities to what makes sense with the individual customer’s needs, and the quoted prices reflect that.
How long will the production take?
Delivery times depend on the complexity of the product and order quantity. Normally, it will take 15 - 20 days to complete an order with MOQ quantity. We try to be as flexible as possible and can normally work within your deadlines so you can receive the goods by the dates you need.
How do you ship the goods and how long does it take to arrive?
Having the cooperation with UPS, DHL, FedEx, TNT and EMS services, we can ship the samples or small volume to your office within 7 working days door to door. Airline and sea shipping also optional.
Can I request a custom sample to help me make my final choice?
Yes, we know that it can be hard to make decisions without seeing a product first. We will charge sample cost upon request and the sample cost will be returned to you once the mass order placed.
What is your payment terms?
1. Flexible payment according to customer's demand, such as L/C, T/T at sight.
2. For T/T, 30% deposit in advance, balance 70% before shipment
